A long time ago a friend laughed when I mentioned the word “serendipity” and told me that her dad always used the expression, “stare-endipity” which she claimed meant those times when you give up, go do something else or just stare into space in a type of nonresistance to whatever problem was facing you. Then, miraculously in some mysterious way when you return to said problem it has somehow fixed itself or is super easy to solve through little or no effort. I have called on this strategy more times than I can count.
For example, I have been trying for months to decide what platform to use for a new newsletter I would like to start. The entire time thinking, “This would be so much easier if my website just provided this service for me. I would read reviews of the best sites to use, watch YouTube videos, read for clues in newsletters I was subscribed to in order to discover one I liked, and then today. TODAY. When I finally made a decision and was in the middle of filling out the information to set it up, one question took me back to my website and that was when I discovered my website actually already had this option and that my blog posts were transferred over into a newsletter…AND! AND! I already had two subscribers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to my two faithful friends who wondered why I only sent one blog post a year and a half ago and never again. This is why I could never gain complete traction with my business while also trying to hold down a stressful full time job. So here I am, and hopefully the combination of my passion for my business and less stress will allow me to post more blogs and you will be seeing my newsletter more often! If you haven’t already subscribed to my blog/newsletter I hope you will consider doing that now. I look forward to sharing with you soon how I made the choice to jump from my teaching career into focusing on my time2choosepeace business full time. Until then…
